Taking It Slow

Chloe met her first child, Arisallia (3rd grader), since she's been in foster with me. She was quite nervous and stayed "hidden" for the first hour or so. Because this little girl was very calm and gentle, and Chloe's foster siblings were interacting wih Arisallia, Chloe actually came out for a little visit. The little girl sat next to Chloe just petting her, talking calming, quietly and sweetly to her. Chloe did ok as evidenced by the below picture.

Chloe then posed for Arisallia in a cute close up.

What a beautiful, sweet girl Chloe is. Look how much progress she's made in just a few weeks. Looks like the "Life is Good" program is this girl's ticket to a wonderful new life. Way to go, Chloe. Plus, a huge thank you to all the fabulous members of your foster home. Some hounds decide life is so good that they seem to completely abondon their shy ways. Others, like my own girl, may always remain reserved with strangers, at least at times, but they can still enjoy a happy, active life. Chloe sounds like she loves going & doing things. She just needs some guidance while she learns more and continues to gain confidence.

At 6 years old, Chloe is entering middle age. This is a great age if you want a more settled, easy to live with hound. She's got many years of love left to give. Now Chloe just needs a forever family to love her & help her continue learning how fantastic life is. There is no bond more wonderful than that of a shy dog & the person who earned their love.

Thanks Laura. She's a great girl. She'll probably always have some shyness with new folks, but so far she trusts me about meeting new people :)
